3 pair joins
Contents
Introduction
Three pair joins are a special kind of snowflake: 3 pairs coming in, 3 pairs going out.
There are several ways of making three-paired joins. As Groundforge does not do real three-paired joins, we decomposed the join in several 2-paired joins, and show approximately how the stitch looks like. We would like to thank Gibritte for inspiring us. She discovered, that you can make a star-join on the fish-scheme! Please click on the picture of the join you wish to see.
This rose ground variant looks like a three paired join, but has crossings instead of twists.
Stars

Please note: star d uses the same GroundForge schema as half little snowflake a). For the 6 pairs version of star b and d see stars with 6 pairs.

Half little snowflakes
A three-paired join can be made with a half little snowflake. See also page Little snowflakes.
This snowflake can be used in several configurations.
The pricking of example a is equivalent to no 47 from Moderne Torchonspitze, where it is presented rose-ground style.
